wonderful hands on creating!

Patchwork Landscapes-Sharpie on Neon
Paper, build a whimsical landscape with 3-5 hills,1-3 trees, create interest
with pattern and design. Use gel pens to add detail and drama. Your imaginary
landscape what is your story, who lives here?
Name Game- Pop Art introduction, Sharpie and color pencil
Event Project- Bon-Bon Banquet. Collage group project
Ice Cream art value scale
painting project Color blending
creating a value scale, understanding art vocabulary, following a series of
directions. Tempera paint and mode podge. Pop art connections
Sweet Tooth (2 part project) Charlie and the chocolate factory
inspired, design your own candy, packaging, font, design. Candy used as a
boarder for Gumball Pop Art. Each
student created their own Gumball for the class Gumball Machine.
Artistic inspirations: Vincent Van Gogh, Romare
Bearden, Matisse, 18th and 19th century still life
paintings, JW Turner, Leonardo Di Vinci/Mona Lisa, Cartoon/Animation, Georgia
O’Keeffe, famous building around the world/architecture. Matisse cut paper
works. Pop Art, Warhol, Wayne Thiebaud
