Pop Art Mona Lisa and More with 4th grade

 4th grade artists explored the world of Pop Art, they made their own soup can label, created a colorful PoP Mona Lisa using collage skills and constructed a Op art cube inspired by artist Bridget Riley

This month our virtual art program will really start to roll out.

What will the Zoom virtual class sessions focus on?

Kinder: Where the Wild Things Are-min monsters.

1^st: The Art teacher is Weird-shapes lines monsters.

2^nd :Chinese New Year/Draw a Dragon

3^rd: Cursive writing and drawing an owl.

4^th: Drawing a tree in a landscape.

5^th: Faces and Feelings.

6^th: beginning perspective/city drawing.

I like to combine books, art history as well as materials and hands on instruction. 

That's a lot to pack into a 30 minutes session!

A few Matisse coloring pages

 Fauvism, style of painting that flourished in France around the turn of the 20th century. Fauve artists used pure, brilliant colour aggressively applied straight from the paint tubes to create a sense of an explosion on the canvas.

When coloring these pages think about your favorite colors, be bold, be wild be inventive!
